I have started attending here in Fall of 2017 and they campus is attractive and walks are not that bad. The male dorms could really use some work an renovations but other then that classes are good and teachers are even better. I recommend this place as a great transition into a senior college.
3. Don’t even bother trying to find a place to park. It’s ridiculous.
1. The professors are just awful! Most of them are not willing to help you at all, they're just worried about getting a paycheck. They also pick favorites.
2. None of the staff are willing to admit they’re wrong. The think they know everything and are not willing to try to see your point of view!
Jones County Junior College has a beautiful campus and faculty that are out to help you. The food is great, but the dorms could use some renovations.
But they also have favorites, it is not right, and Jones County Junior College faculty should be reported to the school board because of the way they treat students, discriminate, and does nothing about bullying they let it happen it is really sad that they do not do anything about it.
Eh. I am honestly glad I do not take face-to-face courses here because the way the online instructors communicate with you is already rude. When asking a simple question, I got talked to like I was completely beneath the teacher and completely dumb as hell. I am a student that likes to make sure I am doing everything correctly and turning in my work the correct way. I emailed my teacher with the utmost respect and acknowledged the fact that the answer to my questions was most likely already answered and just wanted to be sure. My response from the teacher (Public Speaking, SPT 1113, W01) was very RUDE, and I feel as if he was attacking me for asking a simple question. Luckily, I was raised a lot better than he most likely was and gave him a "Thank you for answering. I hope you have great day." I am VERY thankful I go to Miss. State and just have to take some classes online to catch back up since I've changed my major twice.
Literally the only good thing about JCJC is the tuition prices. I would not reccomend JCJC to anyone at all tough, so just go ahead and spend your money elsewhere!
Jones County Junior College Should be shut down, Why? because the whole faculty is rude, belligerent, and they do nothing about bullying. They say going to do something about bullying but they really do not do anything about it. When I was going to Jones County Junior College I was discriminated against by the faculty, students, and people who were in my class because I was lesbian but also a feminist. Me as a feminist I support what's right, I want people to be equal, and to express their feelings but also their opinions. I had done a research paper on gay marriage, I had a teacher who had got mad at me for telling my opinion, me supporting it because they are people too just like the rest of us, and I find it not professional. I was discriminated against because I am a feminist, I support gay marriage, and I want to do the right thing. I think jones county junior college should shut down, give every student that attends there their degree because I do not recommend any human being going there because they will be rude to you, discriminate against you, and falsely accused you of soliciting yourself rather your man or woman.
